Enable Iray Matte: is there something similar for 3delight?

I need an option to render Garibaldi hair with shadows in 3delight while not showing the character wearing the hair. A kind of Matte. Then I like to render the char without hair in IRay and combine both in PS.
Is this possible? Where to find the switch in 3delight (like Iray's Enable Iray Matte option)?
Thx for any help.

You need a shadow catcher - pwCatch Ghost in the store, or make your own with Shader Mixer/Builder (there used to be a tutorial/guide to doing that, not sure if it is still around). The lights used may make a difference.
Do you think pw ghost will do the job, or is it pw catch to do the trick..?
The shader mixer tutorial may work on a plane but doesn't on a whole figure.
To combine Garibaldi or lamh hair and it's shadow with an iray rendered face, it would be best to get the Garibaldi or lamh hair shadow rendered in 3delight as a separate pass. But is 3delight able to render out a single shadow pass? Then I would consider to buy lamh or Garibaldi. But I will never switch back to 3delight for face rendering.
If there should be no solution regarding this I will have to wait until there is a hair solution for IRAY.
Sorry, pwCatch is what I meant - I will edit the original post.
Thanks, David
PWCatch is cool for planes, but if the shadow catching geometry is i.e. a face (voluminous), and I want the shadow catching geometry being invisible, too, then you will get the shadows from the backfaces of the head as well. So it seems it is useless for my special request. My goal is to get only a render of the shadow, the hair throws onto the face. A real multipass rendering option in daz studio would be very cool. Even better would be lamh or garibaldi for Iray. ;-)
pwCatch should work for anything, as long as you are rendering in 3Delight of course. It is, though, a while since I used it.
