DS 4.9 Install Manager cannot find a required path

I've just downloaded DS 4.9 32-bit and I'm trying to install it, but I keep getting the following error:

 

Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "DAZ Studio 4.9 (Win 32-bit)" requires that the installed path for "DAZ Studio 4.5 (32-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

I checked the settings and there is a path defined for DS 4.5.  I've used DS before but I think that version was 3.5; anyway, it's been a couple of years and I uninstalled the previous version before I installed the new one.

That seems vcery odd - tricky to test on a system that is already set up, though I will see what I get.

I'm not seeing the issue, for what that is worth.

I'm not sure what's going on with it. Do I need DS 4.5 installed before I can install 4.9?

That shouldn't be required. Are you trying to install just Daz Studio, not any of the plug-ins?

Yes, it's just Daz Studio.

Would installing DS to another drive work perhaps? I've never had this kind of problem with DS before; that being said, it's been several years.

I'm always a little wary of trying stuff at semi-random when it comes to installing, but it may be worth a go. However, if that doesn't help I would definitely open a support ticket.
