Daz Crashes on MAC for New User (me)

I am a new user.  I only recently downloaded Daz 4.9 Pro to my MacBook Air, OS X 10.7.5 operating system.

Daz crashes so regularly and so frequently that I cannot even complete the interactive tutorial lessons.

When Daz crashes, I get the dialog box:

"Daz quit unexpectedly.  Do you want to Report, Ignore, or Report?"

I have done all three, and nothing seems to have helped the problem.

Can anyone here walk me through a possible solution?

I recently downloaded Daz 4.9.2.70, 64-bit Onto MacBook Air, running the OS X (10.7.5) Lion Operating System.

Daz is crashing, now, so regularly now that I cannot even get through the interactive tutorials.

When it crashes, I get the dialog box (from Apple) telling me that "Daz quit unexpectedly" (for them, maybe).  It gives me the option to "Ignore, Report, or Reopen".

I've done them all, a few times now, and the result is the same ... Daz crashes even during the "Day at the Beach" tutorial.

    What should I do?

    (Mod edit to reformat.)

  • There is a known issue with the interactive tutorials, it is fixed in the current public beta which you can get from http://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta (make sure that you have Install Manager set to show Public Builds - click the Download Filters box on the Ready to Download tab and check that box if it isn't).

  • What about just in general?

Mine crashes all the time. Ive posted already about the crash. Will the beta fix issues???

  • I don't know - it depends on the cause of the crashes. Most people do not seem to be getting a lot of crashes, away from some known issues, but some certainly do.
