Larger thumbnails for saved scenes?

The long standing 91 pixel size for saved scenes has gotten much too small with larger monitors.  Can I make them larger (MUCH larger!) somehow?

I've taken to taking a screenshot of scenes before I save them and renaming them in my saved directorries, but this is much too tedious.

Thanks.

Render one and save it in the same format, I've done it using the same aspect ratio ( basically a square).

Seem to remember there is a product available that lets you create and manage thumbnails, but don't recall the name.

  • Save a scenename.tip.png file, wheer scenename is the .duf file, and DS will show it when you hover over the file (assuming you have tooltips on).

V3Digitimes has a product called Super Save that will save your scene and create beautiful RENDERED scene thumbnails and tip files. The thumbnail is still only 91 pixels, but it is a rendered image rather than the automatic screenshot thumbnail generated by the regular save. It does take longer to create these rendered thumbnails and tips, but how long depends on the render settings you have set for your scene. Super Save has other great features, like the ability to save an incrementally named scene file. I use this product all the time. Saving the rendered thumbnail and tip file is optional, via checkbox, so I only save them when I am working with a final scene that I plan to keep around. Here are some examples:
