Transferring DS

Hi all.

I am getting a new laptop in a ew days and would like to find a way to transfer my DAZ content over from my present laptop to my new one.

Here is what I am thinking: I would download and install the latest DS to my new laptop and then use my USB file transfer cable to move my Scenes, My DAZ3D Library and Render Library over, overwriting the other folders of that name.

Will this work? Or, will it create any unforseen problems?

And suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or even simply pointing me in the right direction to find the solution.

If you install content via DIM you would need to copy over the Install manager folders from Public Documents (especially the Manifests folder, which lists isntalled content - note that it uses absolute paths so if the location of the content changes you would need to reinstall or to batch-edit the .dsx files). Before copying the content over use the Content DB Maintenance command in the Content Library pane option menu to export User Data, then on arrival in the new machine use the same command and Import Metadata.
