Dynamic Clothing in 4.9?

It has been some time and many Daz versions since I last used dynamic clothing. Tonight I tried to start a new project and ran into problems. I have the Dynamic Clothing Control for 4.9+ and Dynamic Classics installed according to the Install Manager. I don't see the option for Dynamic Clothing under Window->Panes (Tabs) and I don't see an installed plugin as I would expect.
Is there an installation option or problem I've missed? Much of the documentation I find is out of date. Is there something relatively current to which some kind soul can kindly direct me?
Dynamic clothing can be fussy but when it works I love it!
Thanks,
John

VWD for sale elsewhere provides a great (with a learning curve and an issue or two) means of adding dynamics to anything - some items are a pain to manage, but do work.
How did you install the DCC plugin? If it was using DIM, be aware that it has an awkward tendency of trying to install the plugin before the DAZ|Studio program is finished installing — this means the basic free plugin overwrites the full plugin that's just been installed. Usually you end up with either just the basic plugin or nothing. Try using DIM to uninstall then reinstall the DCC plugin, and don't forget to give D|S the plugin serial number (see the Serial Number page in your account).
SpottedKitty, you have been very helpful.
Despite the fact that DIM indicated there were no updates, I was running 4.9.0.63 and when I uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm now running 4.9.2.70. Upon install I saw the DCC plugin but it was the basic plugin and then I uninstalled and installed to find my "advanced"? plugin, when I then provided the serial number. I now have the expect option under Window->Panes and hope to begin wrestleing with my dynamic cloth very soon.
Maybe this post will help someone in the future or even me when I forget on the next daz update.
Thanks again,
John
Ah, yes that's one of the other things to watch out for — the Dynamics plugin is one of the oddballs, it gets updated whenever the DAZ|Studio program is updated. You must have the plugin version that matches the D|S version (the last two numbers of the version will match) or else Weird Stuff™ happens. Usually, either the complete Dynamics system vanishes, or you're stuck with only the basic plugin.
