Maximum render time exceeded?

Was rendering an image in DAZ when it stopped with only 60% completed. Checked log and said "Maximum render time exceeded."  Since when?? I'very had renders take up to 12 hours and no problem. This one ended after 2 hours 14.50 minutes.

What's the deal?

Iray has defualt max time set at 2 hrs.  If you were rendering in Iray, that would be why you hit the limit.

That sucks. What is the point in that?? Guess it is back to poser and V4. 3Delight just does not empress me. Main reason I do not use daz.

The time limit is adjustable.... Render Settings > Progressive Rendering > Max Time (the unit are seconds, so going from 7200 to 14400 goes from 2 to 4 hrs).

Also, making sure that all surfaces are set up/optimized for either Iray or 3Delight it essential for getting the most out of each renderer.

  • You can adjust the time limit in Redner Settings, as well as the convergence and sampel limits. You can also expand the options panel at the side of a completed render (there's a little arrow in a dark box half way up) and edit the max time (or other condition), then resume.

    Thanks

  • Just did some checking and you can actually turn off limits. Just uncheck use limits in the parameter settings.

@Narayana-Dasa  "Just did some checking and you can actually turn off limits. Just uncheck use limits in the parameter settings."

Doable with (virtually) every parameter setting.
