Is there a "come hither" tool?

Is there a tool which can teleport a prop / figure to your position rather than having to get it and move it to where you want it? 

What I mean is, if you are working on large scene and you import a prop which starts at 0:0 and you are at 10:10 can you bring it to you instead of going back to 0:0 and dragging it to 10:10?

The closest thing that I am aware of is one or the other of two scripts by MCasual:

The second one is more recent, but they both do similar things as far as I know.

Hold down the alt key (Windows)/opt key (Mac) while you drag an item from the library, rather than double-clicking, and a target will appear showing where (on the floor) the item will load relative to - release the mouse, then the modifier key, to load.
