Spectral Rendering?

I've noticed an option in the iray render settings for Spectral Rendering that has been added to the Beta version.
Now I know what Spectral rendering itself is itself but don't know what the two options it gives mean.
The two options are Faithful and Natural and they give completely different render results with exactly the same scene but I can't find any descritpion of what they are trying to achieve.
Any ideas? I've searched the DAZ docs but can't see any mention of this option.
As an example here is a censored verion of my test renders to show the differences. It shows a small but noticeable difference between Off and Faithful but a huge difference if you choose Natural.
I like the look of Natural but wonder why most of the reflections have vanished, does this mean it requires a different approach to shaders and lighting when used?

Please post your image again with clothing to replace the modesty bars. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/3279/acceptable-ways-of-handling-nudity#latest
Sorry about that, here is a smaller, clothed version (though the modesty bars covered more skin, but rules are rules!).
Anyone have any ideas about what the two options are actually trying to achieve?
If it's like other Spectral Rendering setups then 'Natural' has an extra bit of tonemapping. It's an attempt to bridge that remaining gap between Physically Plausible and actual human vision.
