How to model a head for Genesis 3?

Hi all,

I am totally a newbie here. I need to model a head (for a real girl) based on Genesis 3. I have tried with Daz studio many times to change head’s parametters for some Genesis 3 models without success. For example, I cannot change model’s eyes into Asian black style. I cannot either find any parametters to change shape of nose.

I have bought Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs but no hope since it has not added any new interface / parametters.

Can someone tell me where I should start, which products / contents to buy.
Many thanks

  • The head morphs cedrtainly should add new parameters - how did you install? Truly black eyes are rare, but there are several meant-to-be east Asian characters at least some of whom do have suitable maps (the eyes can be freely mixed with skin textures from other sets) - Mei Lin 7 does, as I recall.

  • Thanks Richard,

I have installed the head morphs via Daz Install Manager (I am Mac user). I have seen it from Installed tab (of Daz Install Manager) but cannot find any sign of it from DazStudio. I have tried uninstalling / deleting that morphs and then re downloading/installing but no help.

In the bellow image the model head has only few parameters.

You should open the Tab called 'Shaping' you have the tab open for Parameters. Although the descriptions between Shaping Parameters, and Posing might sound like they are doing the same thing they are not. Shaping changes the shape of the body as if you body was at rest and that is the natural relaxed shape of the body. Parameters and Posing are meant for facial and body posing.

On rare occassiona, DIM will not install particular products correctly, what I do is manually install.  Have you tried to manually install to Daz Library folder ?  Also, you can submit a support ticket.  You may also try 200 head/face morphs for Gen 3.

  • Wow, I have seen over 150 parameters for head under Shaping tab. Look like my purchased Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs works. Thanks nonesuch00

Thanks Awesomefb too. I will try that product!

  • Shaping morphs, even for the head, appear under the Figure node in the parameters pane - Actor>Head>various sub-items.
