dson importer for poser 10 windows 7 install

So, I'm a newbie. I made my first order of Miki 4 with smith/micro end of August. Had trouble downloading and installing. I asked for help from smith/micro and one of their people contacted me right away. To make a long story short thru much frustration, I, for the life of me, working with them for 2 1/2 weeks never was able to get Miki 4 installed. I finally gave up out of sheer frustration! I knew this process should realisiticly take no more than 10 minutes.

So, okay, I'll try a DAZ order. Purchased some items on a sale. Had the same issue. I contacted DAZ and got help right away. With their help, I got all my items installed into poser. Come to find out, I need to install the DSON importer. I continued working with help to try and get this downloaded and installed. This process took another two weeks but even with their help, I couldn't get it installed. Just to be fair, their help was really great, and they had me try numerous things to make this happen, but it just didn't happen. I finally pulled the plug today due to total exasperation/frustration.

Does anybody have a preschool 2-3 step process to get this installed. Without this DSON importer installed, I am unable to use a third of the products I ordered.

Sorry you've been having such a hard time getting it installed.  Are you using the Daz Install Manager, or are you using the stand-alone installer from your Product Library?

What is the name of the stand-alone installer, and what happens when you try to install?

  • I see that when I click on "add library" in poser, I have a dson folder. When I click on "script" it doesn't show up there. It appears like I',m missing a step somewhere.
