Color bleed in Poser 7

I'm using Poser 7 with its last update for rendering (I can't for the life of me figure out Daz Studio, and I don't have the money to afford the newest Poser product), and while it's lasted fine for me, I've recently had an issue with the texture and color that is really odd; whenever I try to manually alter the texture or color of a texture for any content, and then render the scene, I invariably get a pinkish hue from the altered texture. It happens regardless of which color I choose, which texture I choose, or which model I use. I'm at my wits end with how to fix it, and I'd like some suggestions on how I can fix this. Thanks.

show a screen shot of the poser surface node.
It sounds like you are either altering the diffuse_color or turning up ambient_value

Neither; both are set at 1 automatically, and I don't touch them, at all.

try a screen shot, I cannot just make guesses
your ambient_value should not be 1 in most cases

If that's the case, then that's the issue; for some reason, EVERY texture on the models I try to alter has an ambient_value of 1. I'm assuming that the default is 0, right? Because I've been doing a little bit of testing, right now, with changing that value to 0, and I'm not getting the bleedthrough like I used to.
