iREAL Animated Ocean Water System floating object

Maybe someone knows how to add water to a floating object. for example the ship
So he floated on the waves?

  • Floating objects have to be manually placed and animated, the process is not automatic.

    Richard,

    I have heard of some people suggest using a "Rigid Follow Node" to get an object to float on top of the waves (in Geometry Editor: Select a polygon and add the node, then place the object as a child of the node). However, in my own tests, the results did not seem to be consistent. But I did not spend too much time with it. I have heard that adding reference nodes can help stabilize the object's movement. 

    Do you have any experience with Rigid Follow Nodes and Reference nodes?

  • That should work to an extent, however the rigid folow node probably won't be able to cope with the differential changes in the morphs all that well - different biits of the surface can move in radically different ways reltive to each other in the different morphs. I've not tried a Rigid Follow Node on this kind of item, however.
