Check out this thread, there's a video that explains how you can move the rotation axis to the center.

  • You can change the axis system used, which seems to be the issue, in Tool Settings, no need to edit the figure

    Thank you guys! :D
i had help from a friend.

first I wrote down the figure's rotation. set all to zero (rotation and translation values). then selected the hip and applied those values to hip rotation.

then i clicked the hip and moved to the desired place (in the center of main axis), and axis didn't move.

it was actually quite simple :) thank you so much!

  • I'll let that image pass, but if you are going to post images of nude figures please switch to smooth shaded view (from the spheer icon to the left of the camera/view picker button, or press cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win) 7) - if the breast on a female figure or the groin on any figure shows then that is mandatory.

In any event, that is an orientation issue - go to Tool Settings and experiment with the different Coordinate options at the top - World should give you upright control widgets.

    Window>Panes(Tabs)>Tool Settings

i found it but don't know what to do there :/

  • When you open the Tool Settings tab, you can see additional options for each tool in it.

At the very top of that tab you can find "Active Tool" and it will show a tool name there. By clicking the name of the tool inside that tab you can switch between the tools.

    1. Choose "Universal" as the "Active Tool".

    2. Right under "Active Tool" you will find an option called "Use Local Coordinates". Click that and you will see a list.

    3. "Use World Coordinates" will let you move the figure by the world axis. (So left is left based on the world and not the figure's "left" side).

    Does this answer your question?

It does look a bit like this problem: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/120961/figure-axis-baselines-change

So my question would be how did you create the pose. Did you alter settings on both the 'whole body' and, for example, the hip of the figure. That may also produce this.....

how do I reset the figure axis from there?

Checking the link... I rotated the whole figure instead of rotating the hips, to create the pose... :(

As an 'emergency fix', you can always create a new "null" in DS; at default that will be in the (0.0.0) position. You can then move the "null" to a position to the 'middle' of your figure (keeping it at the floor) and then parent your character to the "null". Then you can move/rotate the character by moving/rotating the "null".... This is also handy for 'grouping' 2 or more characters and/or objects to an another, so they can be moved simultaniously...

Yeah, i've seen that... but the thing it i think it won't work if I want to save my poses... I want to save them, and they be loaded with default axis, you know? :/
