Honestly? It would take less time, and would be cheaper because of it, to hire a local semi-pro model and make videos of him/her on your equipment. Spend some time with the set, add some inexpensive lighting, and go to town. You could probably get models to work for reduced hourly if your client throws in a few months of free membership.
Where 3D stills or animation might come in handy is showing the effects of exercise on bones and muscle groups -- you render these anatomically, without clothing or skin, and typically in slow motion. You need anatomically accurate models for this -- the correct muscles and bones. I'm not sure what there is for Genesis 3, but the M4/V4 era of characters had some of these that weren't to bad.
Just visit your local gym and offer to pay them a few hundred. Much faster and more fun. There is a iOS App I have that has done mostly an outstanding job doing just that although they distractingly change models for some exercises and the models sometimes wears differing clothing for some exercises it is still mostly good. They include picture sets of the proper movements for the exercise and they also include short videos for most exercises and stretches.

Yes, probably - there are various sets of gym equipment, plus poses and clothing, available.

There are probably not enough prebuilt poses for all the exercises you want to illustrate, but the poses above will make good starting points.
