Save without overwrite?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Had to do a reinstall and backups and so on.

Now, when I try to save a scene, it always prompts me to save to a folder, and considers the original file 'overwriting.' Is there a preference I'm missing?

    The Author information...it should be the first thing on the first page of the Preferences.

    If it's blank or not what it was before the reinstall, any saved items that aren't the same will prompt the 'Save as' dialog.

    MJC: I think it might be blank. It prompts me each time, so I guess I have to set it to something?
