Lords of the Night Palace--invisible?

I just bought Larsen's Lords of the Night Palace in the PA sale and loaded it. It will render, but until I render I can't see a thing. Not in texture shaded, not in wireframe. My viewport just gets completely blanked out--not black, but the blue background color I currently have. Doesn't matter if I load the DUF (which is only available if I navigate to the folder) or the PP2 which it wants to load from the shortcut. This is with no lights in the scene, just the figure of the room. Even if you make everything invisible (clicking the eye shut on each and every piece) even the "floor grid" won't appear, just a blank blue viewport.
I saw another thread about a similar problem that was attributed to a large number of lights, but I don't have any lights loaded--and nothing shows up in wireframe.
I'm using the latest Daz Studio, DIM download for the product.

Select one surface and look in the Surfaces tab....what's the Opacity setting?
Opacity is at 100%--but it's utterly invisible-and weirdly, I can't even see the yellow outline of the selection, even if I auto-zoom to it. And if I put a figure in, that figure is also invisible, both texture and mesh view. My viewport, no matter the view style I use, is a blank blue rectangle. I've never seen anything like this before.

And then, purely by mistake, I deleted the set and CTRL+Z'd to get it back... and the set suddenly appeared...and my floor grid appeared as well. Does this make any sense to anyone? Color be baffled.
Me too...
