Oh, wow!  Nice surprise there.  Lol. Thank you!

On the pose- I just picked a random, canned pose and cranked back his lower neck and viola!  Pleasant surprise.

    Thank you! :)

Well, worked on a few things yesterday, including Evan's "toast" and nails.  Can't show A, so I'll show B.  LOL

Onto fun stuff like scars and thangs.

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

cropped version of a seam check render-thought I'd have fun with it.  Evan is not amused.

I wouldn't be either, LOL. That beard makes him look like he escaped from a bad spinoff of Planet of the Apes!

I know, right!?  lol It amused me.  Working on the first scar set, so that will get posted either before I head out, or when I get back from work.

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

example: I am going to get rid of the smaller of the three-now that I see it rendered, it's too far off of the other two, and it just isn't needed.

I let him render out until 8% completed on this one.  Will be adding more detail with the depth of the two I'm keeping.  Stole Sol's eyes for this one, too.  Will be adding two of those (this one and the dark brown set) for his pack.

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

So, that last scar is gone.  Upped the bump (white portions) to add more of the depth difference in the bump and re-did the normal map.  Will post that version soon.

    Update:

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

Really like the scars.  Will work very well for a lot of what I do.  Can't have perfect characters and then make people believe they are any good at battle at all lol.

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

Lol, agreed!  Not only that, but everyone gets caught or cut training and foghting with blades-even Masters, if not as much.  ;)

  • Update:

The brows really make him older, love it. And scars also add nicely to the character.

Wow! Nice claw marks!  We definitely need someone with those.  I kind of like that third claw mark.  Oh well.  I never heard the term toast to refer to, um, that before!  :)  I'll have to file that away for future reference.  He's coming along very nicely.

  • SaphirewildSaphirewild Posts: 6,668

I think the scars are comming along nicely they are looking very real like!!!!

Not really liking the beard on him though makes him look like he going out for halloween dress-up!!!laugh

Handsome with scars...oh, very very nice!

Thank you!  Just finished up the eye materials, gonna test out the shoulder stab scar once the tester for one of the fantasy eye sets is done.

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

Thank you about the feature-it was a surprise, for sure. :)

yeah-the beard is NOT him, but that's what amused the heck outta me.  lol

    He's looking good!

Quick question, different character: Does Parker have a clean shaven preset? Trying to make him into a kid, but he's rocking that five o clock shadow a little too much. Might have to stick to bobbles with him. *grin*

Quick and dirty render (not even 1% done) of the shoulder stabbing scar.  Note-all of these are based off of photo references.

Thanks!  Mmm..no, I didn't make a clean shaven set for him.  I was kinda lazy on that one.  Hey- they have had certain 'conditions' out there that had people grow lots of hair at a young age. He can fake it!

Torso scars- gonna work on these more, of course, since these are just the starters.  he'll have a few more on his arms and legs as well.

    Enough tonight-time to crash. :)

LOL! I don't know, it looks kind of crazy. I might actually have to break out Tween Ryan for the kid version and use Parker as the adult version. I'm noticing some of the very masculine characters look weird with Growing Up morphs until you dial out some of their custom morphs. I guess it's too much for the default sliders to handle. Dunno.

BTW, the scars are coming along well on Evan!

Nice work on the modeling and the skin. Just as an aside, is the scar in the photo reference in the same spot? If so, whoever the reference came from got lucky - relatively speaking I'm pretty sure getting stabbed in the shoulder is much better than getting stabbed in the neck...Yikes.

I'm loving the scars! Awesome looking character!

  • DarwinsMishapDarwinsMishap Posts: 4,087

Thanks, Llynara!  Parker as a bobble.  Haven't done those since the three I mocked up a while back.  That'd be amusing. XD

Thank you, Max.  I appreciate you stopping in. Actually, the spot where the man had the stabbing scar was under the base of the neck to the left of the spine-with a matching one on the right and another just below it.  The man was extremely lucky.

    Thanks Diva!

ok- quick hand scar. Was going for the "got caught by a canine of some animal" look.

I have one that is indented (a), and another partially indented and raised (b).  (two views to show the difference of B)  Opinions?

     A

      B
