Bounding box woes.

I'm creating a wee fire squid, because frankly who WOULDN'T] want a fire squid, and I've been merrily rigging the beastie up when suddenly I noticed that when I select my figure as a whole, it is now 90 degrees outside its bounding box.

I have no idea how I did this and no idea how to get it back the way it's supposed to be. Is there a way I can fix this or do I have to start from scratch again?

Is it rotated by the root node, or is it still in its zero pose?

    Everything is zeroed.

Haven't been able to figure out what went wrong so I'll just re-rig it from scratch and watch to see what happens after each step.

I did have a crash right after saving my progress so maybe that has something to do with it.

    ARRRRGH!

    It's doing it again!

I'm starting over from scratch and once again the figure bounding box is completely out of sync with the figure's orientation.

Is there a bone that controls that overall orientation of the bounding box?

EDIT: Woohoo! I found where the problem was going wrong. I was looking for the deviant rotation in the parameter tab, I should have been looking in the joint editor tools.
