Using Star 2.0 Templates?

edited September 2016 in New Users

Not sure if this is the best forum to post this in, but since I AM new, I figured what the heck....

I just bought the Star 2.0 for Genesis 3 figure. I'm using her to try and create as close of a model to the Winx Club 3d models as I can.  I've gotten fairly close on the shapes using various morphs, but ...

....when I went to start using the templates to create a skin for it, I got TOTALLY lost.  I have no idea what a few of these templates are for.    I've managed to identify most of them, but a few are totally beyond me.

Does anybody around either have Star 2.0 and knows what each template is for, or just knows in general how to identify them?

(No pictures only because I'm not certain if I'm ALLOWED to post a screenshot of the templates or not).

    1. Set the Viewport to "UV View"
    2. Select Star 2.0 in the Scene tab
    3. On the Surfaces Tab, expand the Surfaces group.
    4. Select each surface to display the UV map it's using in the Viewport.

You should be able to identify which of the 8 Star templates that surface is using.

Edit: Also on the Base Color channel for each surface, look for any material files loaded.  Hover over the file selection drop down to see a mini-view of the textured template assigned to it.

  • Thanks - still can't identify a few of the templates, but at least I know where to go to replace some of them with mine now XD
