I created a primitave plane, applied a shader to it and parented other props to it. I want to be able to use it in another scene though and didn't see a "save as prop" option. Is there a way I can make this a prop I can use in other scenes?
Thank you both! I'm not in front of my Daz computer to try both methods at the moment so until I am...
Are those two different methods that work equally well or is there one that is preferred? I'm looking for the one that will populate the prop somewhere I can find it like in my saved files with my pose/character presets. Is that a pretty safe bet as to where it will save?
Both will put files in the folder you choose for loading - saving as an asset will create asset files (the .dsf files in the Data folder) in \Author\Product (where Author and product are the names you enter in the option dialogue) while just saving the subset will use a generic folder in AutoConverted (or Auto Adapted, I can never remember). So saving as an asset makes it easier to find all the files, for back-up or sharing.

Save as Scene Subset
File > Save As > Support Asset > Figure/Prop Asset
