Database is getting messed up

I Talked about this in the past, but now I see what's causing the problem With the latest DAz version.
I got a new laptop, and installed everything through DIM, and started DAZ.
Everything is showing perfectly :) BUT
it starts to update the Meta Data and now everything is Grey for install, and everything has an arrow at the right top.
I tried re-importing the Database, and it's still there..
So spent 3 hours of installing content, and driving me nuts.
What is a good way to fix this annoying issue once and for all?

Did you try re-importing your metadata?
Are you getting any warnings when you try and load something?
No I am not.
it's installing / downloading the content.. I don't want it 2x on my drive.
It won't automatically install the content, just the metadata.
Can you check if the paths in Content Directory Manager match the path you used in DIM?
They are the same.
I see in Daz 2 folders for the Daz Studio Formats in /users/myname and 1 in /users/public
I know Daz doesn't look at the ZIPs, so it always Downloads them from the web. (That's what Daz support told me in a ticket)
but if I uninstall the items that are marked as not installed, and re-install then sometimes they show up correctly.
Guess the problem in the 1st place is DIM installs it all good, and Daz is doing the Meta update and everything is screwed up.
Can you post these 2 screenshots:
1) In DS, Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats"
2) In DIM, on Ready to Install tab check the "Show Details" box in the lower right

Okay, those are correct. What's the exact version number (e.g. 4.9.3.71)?
4.9.2.70 The official Release. I don't use any beta's. unless they fixed something major since you seem to have a higher version number ?)
Did they fix something in the Beta? Been messing with it for hours, and can't get them to clear up..
Kept installing /uninstalling.. but the update meta data is putting them all as not installed again.
Is there a way to disable that auto update when you start DAZ ?
or any other solutions
If you don't log in it won't update metadata.
Guess I could do that, and only use DIM to log in.
BUT... I have some encrypted ones that you can only download through Daz... and then it will update the Metadata again... so then I am SOL again. :(
i been wanting to learn daz ive had it on my system forever but hardly used it because I was frustrated that when I tried to get something i had installed it kept saying couldnt find it or goto say clothing and see carriages or characters in there etc. I am wanting to finally gte everything sorted out. is there a reason that i am told content cant be found when i see it in the folder? I just got so fed up tonight i deleted EVERYTHING and reinstalling daz and want to go through my content and put everything in the correct folders however i am not sure where they are supposed to go. I find this a lot with user content not having stuff in the correct folders. I want to create a master library so next time if I have a probloem i can just copy my folder over so i dont have to sort again
Are you installing manually, using the Install Manager or using Connect in DS?

I am using the new solid state drives and worried about storage. is it ok to move my content library to a different drive and then in daz change the directories to point to the new location or will i have problems?
In the screen for the setup it stores the items in \users\myname and \users\public
Can't you just have them all in 1 folder ?
and 2nd... any other suggestions about my issue?
Yes, that's fine. If you use categorires or smart content and have created your own, you should Export User Data before moving the library and then Re-Import Metadata afterwards.
The default has two folders to keep the stuff instsalled by DIM separate from anything you add or create, but you don't have to use 2 folders.
I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas -- if this weren't a fresh install I would suspect a bad database from one of the early 4.9 releases, but since this is a clean install using a recent version I don't know why it would be having trouble.
ANOTHER QUESTION ON INSTALLING SOMETIMES I SEE 2 FILES ONE THAT HAS A DS IN IT THE OTHER A TX WHAT ARE THE TX FILES ARE THEY NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED TOO?
Where are you seeing TX files? They shouldn't show up in DIM -- they may be texture templates.
in the folder i get from 3rd partsy theres 2 exe files one has -ds.exe the other is -tx.exe
well i got all my new stuff installed and moved folder and pointed to it and all was working fine now i restarted my computer i get duf file not found fpor everything grrrr
The CMS database still has the old paths, try Scan Known Directories for Files.
I dont see a scan thing to scan the directories

ok doing it then checking a lot of content now working but seems like th eonly ones it wont find is genesis 3 base figures. it tells me cannot find the genesis 3 duf files. however if i right click and i say merge into scene then the genesis 3 figures will open up in the window
ok, Am I the only one with this problem.
I have this issue for 6-8 months now. Daz Support can't even fix it.
Deleting the Database and re-importing doesn't work.
After that everything is a Not installed, run a Re-import Metadata and i end up with 530 not installed.
This is getting rediculous.
Why does it only work with a brand new install, and as soon the Metadata runs, it's all going shred...
