Keyboard shortcuts...

Hi all,

Does anyone know if or how it is possible to set up custom keyboard shortcuts in 4.9? In particular, I want to have a ks that moves keyframe or animate2 on by 1 frame, thus making frame by frame adjustment quicker by a factor of 1 zillion!

Thanks in advance,

G

  • Shortcuts can be set by finding the action you want in the left-hand side of Window>Workspace>Customise and right-clicking on it.

Once again Richard, I thank you.

  • One of Rob's sample scripts can be used to list out the existing shortcuts, which can be handy when trying to find (or release) a free combination. http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/actions/action_accelerators/start

  • Hotkey/customization enthusiasts who have Keymate, Graphmate and Animate2 full may find this useful:

    • Studio Timeline, Keymate, Graphmate share the same set of hotkeys, wherever there's overlap. I assign them all under Keymate. Very convenient.
    • Animate2 hotkeys, though assignable, are strictly its own. Even for the generics like seek last or next keyframe.

Oh wow just found this, very nice - Thanks!

Tryed to change keyboard shortcuts recently and it works but not like sayed under the Customize Actions list I found the "Animation" entry - there you can find all the usefull stuff like Step To Pevious/Next Frame.

Then right-click Change Keyboard Shortcut: I set it to be the left and right ArrowKeys not linked to anything - for one frame forward/reverse - skip to the keyframes is PageUp/Down and Space key is Play/Pause now Im happy smiley
    - should be set like this by default.

BTW tested it for all Plugins and it works with all: Timeline, Keymate, Graphmate and Animate2.
