Exporting Daz3d -> 3DS Max

I want to create some clothing for Daz 3D. So I created a vanilla unmodified Genesis 3 Female figure, resolution set to base, and exported it as a .obj file. I then imported it in 3DS Max. I discovered quite quickly that I was creating fabric pieces that were incredibly tiny!
It turned out that the imported figure came in to 3DS Max 7 inches high, according to Utilities->Measure, i.e approx one tenth of its nominal size in Daz.
What did I miss?

Check the scale you exported it out at and the scale you imported it in at. Also, check the scale you have 3DS Max set to and make sure they're all going to match up.
