render issues

Hello.I'm new to daz and am loving it, but feeling a frustratated with the rendering process, i fell that daz should offer a seperate render program so that daz studio could continued to be used whilst a render is in progress.

  • Rendering does make heavy demands on the system - maxing out the GPU (Iray on a supported card) or the CPU (3delight, or Iray with an unsupported card or card with too little RAM for the scene). However, if you want to try working in parallel you could always work in the release build and render in the beta or vice versa.

  • I just open a second instance and work on another scene if I'm pressed for time.

The danger there is that opening a second isntance, or doing a File>New or File>Open in a second isntance, will clear the (shared) temp folder. The beta and release use different folders, so there's no danger of removing working files from the renderer.

Reality/luxrender will do what you are asking, but will require you learning how to use it.
