GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3

I recently purchased GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3 so I could use Genesis Generation X2 and GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2 to transfer morphs between Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 and vice versa. However, after installing  GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3, it isn't working. Neither Genesis 3 figure shows up in the menu. I've tried restarting the computer to no effect, and have no idea what to do in order to correct this problem. Can anybody help me out on this?

Click on the Connect Path button located at the middle of the GenX tab.  Point it to your My Daz Connect Library folder.  Mine was pointed to the default My Daz Connect Library folder but my folder is located on a different drive.

You may need to restart Daz Studio so the GenX tab (GenX2 software) rescans the My Daz Connect Library folder contents. If everything is working, you'll see the Genesis figures when you click on the Source button.

  • Uh, I don't see a Connect Path button anywhere. Here's my GenX tab.

There was an update to the GenX2 program to accomodate the Daz Connect Library folder.  There were updates to the Add-On, ie: Gen3 shapes, etc too if you purchased any of those.

Check your version number, mine says v2.1.  On the pane options, the square with the lines on the right side of the tab, select About GenX.  You'll see a picture with the version number at the bottom.

Edit: If you have any of the add-on iconic shapes, there will be two installers.  One for the original GenX and one for the GenX2.  Make sure you install the installers labled with GenX2 in the name.

  • Oh. I just installed the updated programs, and now everything's working perfectly.

    Oy...guess I should've tried that first. Sorry.

Don't give it a second thought.  Dimension3D had helped a lot of us get the update working in their GenX2 commercial thread when it first came out.  Glad you were able to get it working.
