Morphs that don't work!

I have several items (mainly older props and clothing items) that have morphs, but when I move the dials either nothing changes at all, or it changes then snaps back after I release the dial. Is there a "generic" way to solve this, or is it more likely that each item is faulty in some way? (I'm using DAZ Studio 4.9)

It helps if you're specific.  Which props and clothing?  URLs if purchased at Daz?
