    Seems like you should be able too just by hiding geometry.

    Yes but I don't know how to mix the figures smoothly without using other programs

    Create a new surface after merging and on that surface a blended texture set.

    Not that I'm aware of.

    I recently created new surfaces for an 'experiment' I'm doing and basically you go into Tools Settings tab & select the Geometry Editor mode & in Geoemetry Editor there is the Surfaces tab at the top. Select the polygons you want in that surface, and then assign those polygons by right-click and assign to new surface & name it. You select multiple polygons for a surface by <CTL>-LMB for each polygon you want included in the new Surfaces group.

    Hopefully, a more experienced DAZ Studio user that can explain it more concisely than I can will come along.
