Renaming surfaces in Daz 3d Studio

I just had a quick question fore yall. Is it possiable to rename a surface within Daz 3d Studio ?, and what are some 3d applications out thier, besides Lightwave that can acomplish this task ?. I sure do thankyou all fore your support.

Yes, use the Geometry Editor tool and in the Tool settings pane click once on a name to highlight then again to edit. Note that this will break Materials presets using the old name.

What I do is rename in Scene tab, Surface tab will have same name
