"Hide" and "Unhide" multiple layers.

Hello, so I have a layer (object) with a ton of sub-layers (objects) inside of it. I hide it using the "eye" icon next to the layer, but the problem is that I have to select every single sub-layer as well, to make sure it won't show up in the viewport. I don't want to delete it, because I have to render them seperately.

Is there a way to view/hide and unview/unhide multiple layers, without having to select them one by one?

Adding the items to a group will allow you to hide all, or simply select all the parts (select the top one, right-click, Expand>Expand from Selection, then shift-click on the last) and use the Visible button in the Parameters pane to affect al at once.
