Older hairs in Iray
So i bought the beautiful A5 Pro Bundle, but I only know how to use Iray...
The hair looks like the one in the left, in the surfaces it's set as Plastic, so I put to Matte and rendered, and got the hair look in the right.
Does anybody have any idea on how to render older hairstyles with materials for 3Delight on Iray? (Any settings in the surfaces or something I could do?)

Use the Iray Hair Textures... like UHT2 from Sloshworks.
That's what I use
Hi, Lyoness :) I have that on my Wishlist and heard wonders of it. I am definitely buying it. But as I have spent more than I should today I was thinking of a cheaper temporary solution for this :( until I can buy a good product that can replace the textures and comes with excellent shaders, I was trying to make what I have look at least a little better :P
Using the Iray Uber base helps, it comes free with DS.
Out of Touch also has some Iray hair textures over at Renderosity that work well.
I agree with Lyoness' and scorpio's suggestions. Most of the time I use a prebuilt solution like the UHT textures. If you want to use a do-it-yourself approach, it helps to use the Iray Uber Base shader...but then you should tweak the settings to make them look better. A good place to start is SickleYield's guide to Iray surfaces: http://dazstudio-iray.deviantart.com/journal/Iray-Surfaces-And-What-They-Mean-519346747
Once you have a better understanding of what these surfaces mean and how changing them affects the appearance of the render, you can tweak them yourself. Load a hair that does have Iray settings and take a look at the Surfaces tab to see how it's done. Or, check out the different approaches in this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/53879/iray-and-hair-how-to-make-it-look-good/p1 You'll find that different people have very different methods. Various things can look good...how good sometimes depends on the lighting.
Thank you! That forum topic is amazing! :) Gonna try those options on this hair, and about the product, definitelly added those shaders to my wishlist.
