DAZ Connect, DIM and Product Updates

Trying to manage products between DIM and DAZ Connect has been a hassle from the beginning. I routinely find products that I know were installed via DIM, yet have the Install Icon is in the upper right corner of the product in Smart Content and the Product Icon is in Color. Using Windows Explorer the Zip is there and the files are in My Library and available to use. This is just annoying.
The second issue is a bigger pain. Currently I have 10 Products in the Updates section of Smart Content and they all fail to update. Looking at the Info tab for all these products, the last update date is well before I piurchased and/or installed these products. I investigated one product (EJ Atsuko 22838-01) and find it is in both the Cloud folder for DAZ Connect and the Zip folder for DIM. The product files are in My Library and usable. Sometimes when I click Install Update I get a message at the bottom of DAZ saying Update failed, other times the Obtaining Data from DAZ Connect meesage just sits there with the progress bar at 0%. Only way to get rid of that is to shut down DAZ. Right clicking on the product icon and selecting Cancel Operation does nothing.
So it looks like DAZ Connect and DIM are trying to "manage" the same product and not doing a very good job. DAZ Connect thinks there is an update, which is not true and I have wasted HD space since the product files are in both the Connect Cloud Folder and My Library.
I imagine if I uninstall and delete the product from DIM, that DAZ Connect may work correctly, but I should not have to manage these files myself. I have over 1700 products in the ALL tab of Smart Content and almost 1600 in DIM. That is a large number of products to have to manually manage, since Connect and DIM don't seem to cooperate all the time.

So I uninstalled and deleted EJ Atsuko 22838-01 via DIM. That did remove the DIM Zip from my computer but all the files are still in My Library and the Connect Cloud folder. So I have duplicate files wasting space on my HD.
Plus after shutting down and restarting DAZ, the product stills shows up as having an update and trying to install the update does not work, it just hangs with the Obtaining data from DAZ Connect message.
The I spent the time to delete all the EJ Atsukp files from My Library. Re-started DAZ and that did not fix the need for an"update" in Smart Content. The product works fine.
Hoping they get DAZ Connect and DIM to play together better. This is a pain.
Items that have not been isntalled via Connect but have been isntalled via DIM will indeed have the download icon - however, their icons will be coloured and double-clicking them will open the product for browsing, not initiate a download. While it may be possible to make things clearer by having a different icon for items that are installed by DIM but not Connect (and you could feature request this) the set-up should not lead to unwanted actions, such as downloading via Connect when an item is already isntalled via DIM.
The immovable updates sound odd - the update symbol wil show for an incomplete install, but the time-outs suggest a problem with your account so I would suggest opening a support ticket so that everything can be checked. The failure to unistall items also sounds odd, unless you had installed manually too (in which case DIM would see that the files were there before it added its own copies and mark them to be retained).
