Strategies for creating cross-platform (DS / PS) environments?
As an aspiring PA, I'm trying to wrap my head around all the various methods of producing models for both Daz Studio and Poser. The only method I've tried so far involved starting with Poser, importing mesh created in 3dsmax, rigging/parenting, saving as a prop to the library, cleaning up the file references with a text editor, setting materials, etc. Once the Poser port was done, I imported the prop (PP2) into Daz Studio, and made some material adjustments. I ended up with two, separate, standalone ports of my project, one for DS and one for PS. All in all it worked well, but I wonder if there are other, perhaps better, ways of doing this.
I'd be very interested in hearing your preferred method, and what considerations there might be.
Thanks very much!
