I've never been a big fan of "beefcake" pin-ups, painted, photos or renders. It's just not my thing, y'understand. But, with this being the Monthly Challenge Forums and the point is to stretch your creativity to new boundaries, I though I'd give it a try. I'll let others who frequent the Challenge judge if I was successful or not. It's just some guy in a cowboy hat so far as I'm concerned...

    SUCCESSFUL!!!

    Thanks...just don't expect dis t'be a reg'lar ting or nuthin'.

Suburb render on your part, by the way. You blew me out of the water on that one!

Thanks, Ganthor, but time to get a new prescription on the old glasses, surely!

Yup...you betch'ya. Never try to type fast with a cat in your lap.

Hmm...that got me thinking. In the spirit of this being a freebie contest, I went ahead and redid the dial spin only using the options from the free morph set. Not exactly the same due to differing options but it works well enough. Attached an image of the face of the morph (skin texture not included) though the morph is full body.

Now that I think of it, I might be forced to do a morph that's just the head...

Fntastic! She lolokls just awesome ;)

Great render LG.. I really like DOF in this one... and the subject is quite nice to ;)

You are going to tell me this is render??? I mean .. really?? I was convinced it is a picture.. you need to give me some links to the Cycles for summies, or something because I want to do that to....

There might be a small problem here, what make Cycles attractive is a script by mCasuale and the script is for DS. I don't know if there is anything similar for Poser.
The great thing with the script is that it translate simple DS materials to Cycles shaders. In theory you can build your scene in DS, run the script, that will launch blender in camera view and with Cycles active and all you have to do is hit the render button.
In reality it is usually not quite that simple, you will probably want to tweak a few thing and that brings us to another problem.
You will have to be able to do a few basic things in blender. Blender is not the kind of program that you install, take for a spin and say "That was fun". You install, launch and after tree minutes you will know the true meaning of confusion, after five, frustration and after ten despair (possibly a slight exaggeration, or not). If you want to use blender you must take the time to learn it, it will not be altogether pleasant, but nowhere near the hellish experience it used to be a few years back and IMHO well worth the effort.
There is an hilarious amount of tutorials for blender, many are good. If you are interested, and you should be :cheese: , start by watching a few BEFORE you run the program.

Without a script you can still export your scenes to blender but you will have to build the shaders more or less by hand. In that case i would not go for Cycles. blender can also be used as a front end to LuxRenders (the free engine Reality use). Cycles is still in development, LuxRenders have been around a long time and have more functions and less bugs than Cycles.

    Links:
    mCasuals script for DS 1-4
    blender
Some beginner tutorials, there are may more.

    Cheers! Oom

    Thank you :)
Thou I play in blender a bit ( my donation for this month was made in blender, also using cloth collison :D)

To be honest I am more confused in Hexagon than in blender... I got blender quite quick, after few basic tutorials I do not confuse myself so easy there, and getting frustrated with poser, that I cannot zoom with scroll button

I will thou take a look at some material tutorials ;)

    Hay harvest?

How did you know?...for real, 96 bail rolls this cut. We barely got them rolled and moved before we got hit by some serious rain.

    I can't believe you said that...lol. Amazing.

    :-)
Not that amazing, you talked about it in the May-thread. I grow up on the country side (Yiii-Haaa) I know those things don't hang around until you think it is convenient. When it is time, you do. Good work missing the rain.

I put the umbrella on the hamburger 'cause I could find a toothpick with that little curly colored cellophane thing on top. I worked with what I had. Socks? I wish I had a pair for M4. That would have made the picture.

Hey dere, da Real Man here witta note f'youse guys. T'day is Fadda's Day, at least here in da good ol' U. S. of A. I dunno 'bout da rest o'da woild, but I'd like t' t'ink dere's one fer all youse fori'n faddas. Anywhos, t' day's da day we honor our faddas for all o' da wonterful t'ings dey've done fer us. My ol' man passed on back in '06 an' I misses him every day. Back when I wuz a li'le kid he usta take me on walks down t' da Navy Yards and shows me all da big ships he usta build durrin' da War an' how hard he usta work providin' for me an' my bruddas. Gosh, it usta' make me awful proud knowin' he hadda hand in dat. When I grew up, he taught me all da useful t'ings I hadda know t' get along in life, like what made a good beer and how t' choose da best in cigars. Yeah, we hadda lotta laughts an' a lotta sad times too. Maybe we didn't have da biggest, fanciest house on da block an' rode da subway everywhere we went, but we had his love an' his respect. So, dis Fadda's Day, raise a cold one wi't your ol' man and remember da good times...an' if he ain't here no more, raise one to his honor anyway an' hope dat he's lookin' down at'cha and smilin'. Happy Fadder's Day!

PS: In da event dat your ol' man was a no-good-rotten-sonuva*****, please disregard da preciedin' message.
