It's a little embarassing to ask but it's driving me mad. I'm trying to directly manipulate the face bones to make expressions but I don't know how to see and pick them. I think I've used it in the past but I'm drawing a blank. I've searched everywhere for the answer but I must be searching for the wrong thing.

  • Use the Scene pane, once selected you can adjust them with the viewport widget or the Parameters pane. Don't forget that there are pose controls to access them via the head in the Parameters pane.

You mean the Jaw,  teeth and tongue, that are listed under the head? I thought there where bones to directly manipulate the side of the lips and such without dials. It must have been on another program then.

Thank you for the help Richard :)

Oooops, got it. I had to show hidden nodes first. Many thanks :)

  • It may be the controls I was thinking of come with the morph pack, not the base figure. If you look in the Parameters pane they would be in the Pose Controls>Head group, split into further groups by location.

Yes, I found the bones in the Scene pane as you suggested after I checked the show hidden nodes. I'm really having fun with them now :)

Whoa! What is this "hidden nodes" thing? Is it just in faces? Do clothing items have them?

It's in the Parameters pane option menu - the Show sub-menu. Click the lined button in the top corner of the pane, or right-click the tab.
