SimTenero Randomizer Help please

WilmapWilmap Posts: 2,917

I've just bought this but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. The pdf doesn't really explain much.

I don't make my own figures much, just rely on those already made.

Can anyone give me a bit of help please?

I haven't bought it yet (on  growing wish list of plug-ins and scripts) but it seems like a good way of creating a family of character as it allows you set which morphs to randomize and by how much.

You can use it for randomizing morphs that you select in a character you load to the scene. For example, if you load G3F, you could tell it to randomize all the character shapes you have for her.

I can recommend to just experimenting a bit. You can create really nice characters with this. It also works on pretty much every other thing in the shop that has morphs, like the dragon, the horse, etc.

You'll find more information and examples here:

If you need some inspiration or ideas, there is a SimTenero Randomizer Characters Showcase Thread Everyone Welcome thread over in the Art Studio.  There is a SimTenero Randomizer commercial thread in the PA Commercial Products forum, too.  Both places have some helpful tips and advice on using the product.  My best advice is to start with lower percentages until you get a feel for what the morphs are doing.  30 to 50% range.  Really high percentages are hilarious at times, but don't always result in a useful end product.

No, in my experience, it works on anything with morphs.
