Help Lighting problems.
Hoping you can help me figure out what I am doing wrong.
I was doing a scene with The Study and putting my lighting in for the fire and table lamp,
I thought I had got it right when looking at the pre-render, but the rendered scene tells me different.
Haven't got a clue what the problem is apart from the table light is now wayyy too bright.

Need more info on specific settings and placement of individual lights.
Should of thought of that. Have added attachments that show the settings.
Oil lamp on the table is a linear point light
The fire is a point light
there is a spotlight pointing down the chimney to try and lessen dark corners in the fire place.
There is a distant light pointing where ever the standard setting is for that and its not illuminated (Just used to find things when first lighting the scene)
Hopefully the files are in order.
The intensity scale is to high for the lamp light, set it back to default and maybe make the color a bit brighter. I don't understand what the spot light is for or what the distant light is doing. If I was lighting the scene I would use point and spot lights to mimic the actual light sources in the image. I would used low intensity distant lights with no shadows set to fake bounced light from floor, walls and ceiling, adjusting the color based on the over all color of the surface the light is bouncing off of.
Thank you for your help.
I had turned the distant light off as it wasn't lighting the scene the way i would of liked. The spot light i was trying to use to get rid of shadowing in the fireplace.
I will try what you have suggested.
Fingers crossed
