Viewport yellow highlighter - how to 'mute' it

Possibly i overlooked something, but i can't find it in the documentation:

Is it possible to switch off/smoothen the yellow highlighting when moving the curser in viewport over the placed objects?

Whenever i work in a more complex scene in the darker areas the highlighting is 'too much' and disturbes my concentration when making fine adjustments to a figure.

(And there is always something to highlight in the background, worst case the entire ground....)

Comments

  • In the Draw settings pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Draw Settings) set High;ight Style to Bounding Box Only.

  • Thank you Richard, that helps a lot! May i ask another question?

Sometimes the viewport background is not dark gray, it's very bright. How i can adjust this?

  • The rendering backdrop settings, made via Window>Panes(Tabs)>Environment, are saved with the scene so if you load a sceen with a different coloured backdrop you will see a change 9inside the aspect frame if you have that enabled). There's also the viewport colour, set in Window>Style>Custimise Style, which doesn't affect rendrs but does show across the full viewport area - that saves with the applications and shouldn't change unless you load a new style or layout.
