Convert V4.2 characters to G2F without plugins...

Hi all, I know that the question was already given, but I tried all of the tutorials findable without success; maybe because they are all quite old but honestly I can't apply some options or steps.

So, can anyone write a step by step NEW tutorial to convert V4 characters to G2F (I specify: G2F, NOT G1), and another one for G1 to G2F?
Is it really possible without the gen2x+addon plugins and with which results?
