zbrush Making gloves form Genesis 3

Hi there I've seen some tutorials on creating clothes on Zbrush, i made a pair of gloves but after importing the .obj and applying the transfer utilities (default setting) the gloves got stock near the pelvis of the Genesis 3 figure,

I've read something about  converting it into a figure and rigging to shape, I've tried everything but it doesn't work, i want to create just small props like gloves, bandages, simple belts. I hope you can help maybe i need to change the configuration of the transfer utilities (I've tried using the gloves projection template) but i haven't touched the advanced options.

Thanks in advicesmiley

The mesh must line up with the figure without any transforms applied - if you have to move it or scale it then it won't work. usually you want to line it up with the base figure; it is possible to work on a morphed shaped by setting the Source Shape and using the Reverse Source Shape from Target extended option but that isn't ideal.

  • Yes i line them up (when i import the .obj its at the same location as her hands as if she were wearing them) but after using the transfer utilities they "move down" and got stuck there

Right, they must be lined up as loaded - any adjustments you make will be ignored. If you made the gloves to fit the figure in ZBrush they should line up on loading if you are using the correct preset, but if you can't get that to work for some reason line them up in DS, hide everything else, export as OBJ, delete the loaded gloves, reshow the figure, and import the lined-up OBJ using the same prset in the options dialogue.

And about the transfer utility wich parameters should i use?

For what? On OBJ import you want the one that matches the scale of the modeller - I have found that sending an item to ZBrush via GoZ and then exporting from ZBrush as OBJ the modo preset works for importing into DS.
