Yes, save your figure as a scene subset.

You save your g3 figure as a character preset if it's shape and skin and the like you want to keep, or as a scene subset if you want to include hair an clothes. In your new scene you can select your character from the content library /My library/presets/characters or ../scene subset. You can even include a comlete other scene, with a right click on your scene select merge into scene.
