Smart Content and 3rd party product

Is it possble (after manually installing them) to make 3rd party product appear in the Smart Content tab ?

Or is it only for daz-bought products ?

    Yes - with the item you want it to be comaptible with loaded and selected in the scene drag the item into the Smart Content category you wish it to appear in.

    i suppose it's also doable for stand alone product (as figure and environement)

    If you want to create smart content as good as the pros, including compatibility amongst your figures then check out the link in my signature. There's a tutorial I did a while back on how to create your own metadata, which is the building blocks of the Smart Content tab. Hope it helps.
