what takes so long to download something from daz3d vs the installer and also why does my daz3d stuff doesnt show up in my app but is when im downloading it from the app

Could you maybe break that out into a couple of questions so its a little clearer what you are asking? Because I'm not sure I follow
Do you mean the Daz Install Manager application vs Connect within Daz Studio? And if so which content isn't showing - that installed via the Install Manager or that insalled via Connect?
ok sorry when i download stuff form daz installer it doesnt show up on my daz3d but even when i update my meta data it doesn show up but when i download it via connect it shows up in the softwear but now the installer
Even though I've installed everything via the DIM, I still have most of those products listed as installable via the DAZ Connect...I'm tempted to install all of them that way too but it is so very slow...and I can't do a queue to download & install all of them at once!
Showing as installable is correct - the Connect installs go in a diffrent place and behave diferently from the DIM installs. However, not showing at all or showing with grey thumbnails with the only option being to install (again) via Connect would be wrong. chris_settlemoir is it the latter you are seeing?
when i install them via the installer it shows as gray and i own it but its not installed and it says it doesnt exisit. bu show as green hgihlighted when installed via connect
OK, so it sounds as if DS is talking to the CMS correctly but DIM isn't. This is after trying to install via DIM on more than one occasion? It is possible, if you close DS and then immediately open DIM, that the connection will be lost but that shouldn't keep happening (espcially if you start DIM first and then close DS). There have been a few people in your apparent situation: if carefully starting DIM long after DS was closed, or running DIM with DS also running, doesn't allow you to install and have the system see the files then please open a support ticket.
yes i try installing my entire libary more then once and it isnt working i wait all day after installking it i load it it doesnt show its in stalled but on the dim it does i uninstall it and try it again
It's not after installing you need to wait - it's between closing DS or DIM and opening the other (or reopening the original application). That applies only if you do close one before opening the other, though.
Are there checkmarks in DIM in the Installed tab next to most items - certainly items for Genesis or later - in the CMS column (the one with a cylinder icon at its head)?
