A Cleaner, More Intuitive Interface

Expanded Versatility for Genesis 8 Figures
Enjoy Genesis 8 auto-fit enhancements, which allow you to use Genesis 9 clothing on your Genesis 8 and 8.1 figures with more accurate fitting. This gives you access to a larger wardrobe without worrying about awkward fits, making your characters even more versatile. Genesis 8 clothing and hair can now fit onto Genesis 9 characters, and for the first time ever, Genesis 9 outfits and hair are now backwards compatible with Genesis 8 and 8.1 figures
Add License Tag(s) Action
One of the significant updates in this release is the Add License Tag(s) feature in the Smart Content pane, allowing you to filter products based on their licenses from the Daz 3D store. This action, available in the context menu for both assets and products, ensures that all assets in a product inherit the assigned license tag, simplifying content management.
Integrated Filtering & Advanced Search
The added tags are fully integrated into the Smart Content pane’s filtering functionality and the Content Library’s advanced search. You can now filter assets using these tags by entering them into the Files Page or Products Page Filter Field, prefixed by key::. The Advanced Search Type feature also introduces filtering syntax like name::, group::, and date::, making it easier to manage large content libraries.
New Scene Dialog Enhancements
Filtering has been extended to the New Scene Dialog, ensuring that license tags assigned to assets are seamlessly applied, offering a consistent experience across different stages of your workflow.
Bone Drawing & Geometry Shell Enhancements
Daz Studio 4.23 introduces a new Bone Draw Mode property for skeletons, providing more control over the display and interaction of bone avatars. Additionally, the Geometry Shell Node has been enhanced, allowing the Push Modifier weight map to affect the geometry of the shell for more detailed modifications.
Work Like a Pro with Preset Layouts & Hotkeys
Explore new preset layouts and hotkeys based on other popular digital content creation tools like Blender, Maya, and Unreal Engine. Plus, you can now convert Daz rigs for Unreal Engine or Mixamo with just a few clicks, allowing you to experiment with animations in Mixamo or directly integrate characters into your Unreal projects.
