    Mehrloc Hair is a morphing, polygonal model of waist-length "locs" with morphs to resemble dreadlocks. The hair is fitted for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Males and Females (.DUF) with auto-conforming custom morphs for Daz Original characters.

    The hair's sections have an articulate rig consisting of 24 custom bones. The Easy Pose ERC dial/sliders help fit your figure poses beyond the 15 sample pose presets.

    A dForce weight node is included with the hair so you may opt to use dForce Cloth Draping simulation to help settle the hair pose. Users may modify these dForce simulation settings in the Surfaces pane.

    The hair beads or rings are accessory props that may be moved or removed.

    Iray and 3Delight diffuse color presets are included. You may modify the tints by changing the diffuse color of the hair.

    • Hair:
      • Smooth base geometry, ~380k quads
      • UV mapped to efficiently cover full square map and minimize noticeable patterns or repeating.
      • Modelled non-symmetrical to increase realism.
      • Strands individually reshaped to avoid looking like identical repeated geometry.
      • Texture maps are based on original hair photographs and scans mixed with hand painted strands.
      • Shines from surface material settings are not painted on so it will follow your lighting direction, not "baked" or painted on.
