It would help to know where your content is being installed to. If you are using DIM, remember that both the Daz Install Manager AND your Daz Studio application need to be looking for content in the same place. If the DIM is installing in to a separate folder it will not find your content until you set it in Preferences.

Also note that some installed items work differently to others. Not every item is a Smart Content item, but they may still be found in the Content Library, and some more unique products don't actually 'install' in the traditional sense, such as certain plugins or more obviously things like images intended for postwork.

Some information on what specifically you're having problems with and how you've set up your folders will help.

What are you talking about? This item was smart content I don't need to select a path or pick a folder it should download with DIM the same way it did when I purchased it. This is a bunch of BS and I am sick of it. What the hell could possibly change for me not to be able to download it from the site with DIM? This stupid.

Do you have all your paths set up correctly. DIM does need some directions as to where it installs stuff.

Also did you ask DIM to uninstall and re-install, or did you uninstall manually?

I refreshed my computer that means everything was taken off of it. I download DIM and EVERY thing I purchased should be in the DIM but everything is not in the DIM. I tried to download it by itself with DIM and it still didn't work. It should be just like it was when I purchased it nothing should have changed.

If you 'refreshed' your computer then you most likely also wiped out all registry settings and .ini files that where used by Studio and DIM to store your user preferences. DIM and Studio do not communicate with each other therefore it is up to the user to insure library paths are set properly.

You need to be clearer about what 'refresh' means.

Understand your frustration, I currently have a thread as I'm having trouble but it may be a different issue. Wanted to say DO check and see if your Content Management Service has stopped running- even if it WAS running, it can shut off.

To be fair, you're not really giving us much to work with. There are many reasons why something might not show up in Smart Content including, but not limited to, the following:

    - DIM installed the files to the wrong folder or Daz Studio is looking for them in the wrong place.
    - Content does not have metadata, and therefore will not show up in Smart Content by default anyway. (find it in Content Library instead)
    - Content Management Service (CMS) is not running. Find it in your Start menu and choose the start option.

If you genuinely want to get this working, we're going to need a bit of extra information.

-> What items are you having problems with?
-> What folder is the DIM installing to?
-> What folder is Daz looking for content in?
-> Is all of your content having issues?
-> Have you ensured the CMS is running?

I appreciate your frustration, but to give an informed solution we need some idea of what the issue might be.

What I'm reading is ONE product is not showing up in DIM to be installed. Now the issue is WHAT is not showing up? If you started with DAZ Studio 4.0 there will be MUCH that does not show up now because it was BUILT into the new Versions of DAZ Studio. Some Items like the AgeOfArmor SubSurface Shader has NOW became a FREE part of the Default Lights and Shaders package. So without KNOWING what the USER is saying is MISSING from the DIM to be installed there is NO WAY to help them. If the user prefers to not give the information that is there choice.

I had some items that did not appear in DIM because I did not have DS4.5 ticked in my settings just DS4
some things that are ONLY in .duf format
by saying SPECIFICALLY what I was having a problem with and providing screen caotures of things requested etc my issue was easily solved.
people are not mind readers and cannot see YOUR computer set up
any number of factirs can be involved.
