Odd viewport behaviour with 4.9.2.0

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue that I am or if there's some setting I've overlooked...I updated to 4.9.2.0 Pro 64bit this morning and I'm having a new odd issue where if I have both the left and right panels of the workspace open, the large central viewport area doesn't resize itself correctly so the view controls, etc become hidden under the right-hand panel. If I collapse either of the side panels it's fine, but not if both are open. (File attached showing the issue)
That's a major change from the previous workspace (and makes it extremely tedious to navigate now) and seems to occur no matter what style I select (normally I use Darkside). Is there some setting that controls that behaviour that I've somehow overlooked?

I got this too.
I switched to the other tabs like 'shader mixer' then opened and closed one of the right hand panes like 'parameters'. That fixed the scaling of those central panes for me.
Yeah, I have that also.
Nope...not something new, well sort of...It's another sign that the Qt version being used is showing its age.
Are all of you who are having this now, using Windows or Macs?
This was on windows 7 enterprise with ancient intel graphics.
Has my switching tabs trick worked for anyone else?
The tab switching didn't work for me, but undocking and redocking the viewport does. Just has to be done each time Studio is launched.
/edit The tab switching method does work for me, but I need to use the left hand side panes to do it. The right side ones don't fix it for me.
Windows 7. I didn't have this issue in 4.9.1 release I was using.
It's spread...I first noticed it quite a while ago (4.7) in WINE. Then it started showing up on Macs...now it's spread to Windows. It, like the font problem are basically Qt problems...
Reset your Workspace Layout. It'll come back to normal.
Im using Win10x64 and didn't have it under 4.9.1...it's new under 4.9.2. Graphics is nVidea with latest driver (368.22)
I tried the workspace layout reset...it only works for that one session. Same for the docking/undocking. Nothing survives the current session so each time I've started it today I've had to go through this. No other system changes were made at all between yesterday when I was running 4.9.1 and this morning when I did the update.
Yeah, you're right. It used to work permanently when you changed the layout and then changed it back. But now in 4.9.2, the problem keeps coming back.
edit: The whole GUI is messed up now. Half the menu items are just gone. Most of them are in the wrong location. Everything is messed up.
edit2: I had tried saving a custom layout so that I could easily switch to it. But that's broken too and is what was causing the GUI to be messed up. I switched back to a pre-defined one. But something is seriously messed up with the layout.
It seems to be a problem with the City Limits layout. It doesn't seem to happen with the other layouts. Resetting it, opening and closing the Viewport, isn't fixing it for me.
Im having the problem on all layouts. And re setting is not making it go away.
Richard Haseltine suggested closing the Shader Mixer and Shader Builder panes from the viewport. That seems to have solved the problem for me.
If you take and resize the right pane...grab the separator bar and drag, to the right, most of the time it will bring them back. Also, collapsing the left pane will do it too.
No matter what I do with the City Limits layout, it always reverts back to problematic behaviour for the next session and while some of the above solutions will temporarily fix it, they don't reliably do so (and closing a "working" session and starting up a new one will return it to borked behaviour). Even saving the layout as a custom one when it's working doesn't help...as soon as I start another session it's back to the same problem again. It's more than a little frustrating, particularly considering that under 4.9.1 it was working perfectly.
For mystifying reasons, the "City Limits Lite" layout seems to work fine, so I guess for the time being I'll have to use that one and use the menus to access the things I commonly use that are missing. Hopefully some sort of fix will come along in a future release.
If your layout is not being saved correctly between sessions check that DS is shutting down properly - when i've had an issue like that it has been because DS was crashing at exit (in my case due to a plug-in).
It's shutting down correctly and seems to be saving changes -- for instance, I add in the Dynamic Cloth control tab on the right hand panel since I use it quite often and when I start the next session or switch to a different layout and then switch back again the extra tab is still there. The only thing it isn't remembering is the "fixed" viewport middle overlap issue.
How are you fixing - by closing the brickyard panel or by undocking/closing the Shader Mixer and Shader Builder panes?
It varies...I had to try pretty much everything, randomly, and at some point is will suddenly start to behave again. There doesn't appear to be any panel that I can close or undock to have it reliably start to work. Sometimes I have to close the main viewport panel and bring it back again to do it.
I've given up and am now using the City Limits Lite with a few additions and by accessing the other missing stuff via that menus instead. It's less convenient but it's better than spending 5-10 minutes at the beginning of each session randomly closing and opening things until it will finally work. I use this for entertainment/artistic purposes, not to increase my blood pressure. :p
Still not fixed. Seen the probllem on Windows 8.0 and 10.
Using DAZ 4.9 on Windows 8.0 with 1920x1080 resolution and ONLY the left pane open and resized to fit 4 thumbnails accross. Camera Cube is 90% cut off as are all pan/zoom controls.
It is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING to not be able to adjust the camera with EVEN ONE SIDE PANE OPEN. I wish DAZ would fix this bug already.
On my Windows 10 computer, with the same screen resolution, I had to flip the City Limits view through 5 DIFFERENT MODE TABS before the damned viewport would resize properly.
My Windows 8 computer is too slow to even try that solution, I have no mode tabs in my workspace and am screwed by this bug.
Have you closed the two shader panes docked with the viewport?
