I tried to put on nails a mirror reflection ane succeeded a couple of times.
Now when he tries to apply this effect to the second form of this effect is not the same.

What am I doing wrong?

DAZ Studio, and if so, what renderer, Iray or 3Delight?

Is this nail texture a shader, if so, which one?

How did you apply the shader/preset to the second? If you tried to do copy -> paste via the surfaces pane then the actual shader won't get copied, just the parameter settings. In such a case you would first have to apply the base shader to be the same and then copy/paste or - as an alternative - you can save the surface that is looking good as shader preset and apply that one to the other figure from the library.

It is not texture (I think)

At the beginning of the resulting texture of the nails that loaded the settings. Then I remove the texture and replaces it with normal color from the base.
On the right you will see the effect, nice reflection, maybe a little at large but good.
On the left the same settings but ne I manage to get a similar effect

Settings on the left are for the nail on the right and vice versa.

Glossiness at 65% is too low for 'sharp' reflections.
Ambient at anything ABOVE 0 is going to torpedo any 'realistic' look for specular/reflections...they will 'glow' in the dark/low light and look very odd.

And the big one...is there actually anything to reflect?

Yes, you are getting a specular response, but I'm not really seeing any 'reflections', in either set.

Simple solutions are always the best. The creation shaders worked, I set it as ambient color "0" and looks good

Thank you all for your help
