Dynamic clothing problem

OK, a month ago I bought angelic-dynamic-bundle-for-v4-and-m4 for Poser, thinking Poser stuff worked inside Studio, but it didn't. Then I posted here and was told by Mr. Hazeltine that I need to get the DAZ studio version. So today I got that and it doesn't work either. Dress doesn't follow figure. Here's a link to what I got today http://www.daz3d.com/angelic-dynamic-bundle-for-v4-and-m4.

Dynamic clothing has to be draped after you load it. Did you do that?

I'm pretty sure that the outfit doesn't, as a lot of the DS dynamics do, follow the figure as posed. You need to start with the figure in the default pose, or with a starter pose from the pack applied, then open the Timeline (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Timeline) and drag thr marker all the way to the right, apply the pose you want, drage the slider back to the left (which should put the figure back in the default pose, then in the Dynamic Clothing pane set the drape type to Animated That's also the technique to use when applying dynamic clothing to a figure it wasn't made for, assuming it roughly fits around the figure when not posed.

No I didn't, and I don't know how. Can you point me to a tutorial please. Thanks.

    Thanks Richard. Is this draping?

OK Richard, nicely done. However, I used a ready pose. How can I use my own poses?

Yes, it doesn't matter if you pose on your own, or if you use pre-made poses.

For your own poses, just drag any pose for V4 from the presets tab and follow the same steps as above(Richard's instructions)
Mind you that it will not work for a short animation,as the cloth will come out of drape/fit,if you add extra poses in the timeline.

Here's the result of a slightly modified preset pose.

Thanks Maury 1, but I didn't understand what you said here, please explain in detail, thanks.

The start pose must stay the same. Also, watch for bits of the figure intersecting - if the arm, fro example, sinks into the body and there's cloth in that area then it will get confused and you tend to see the cloth flow outside the figure entirely.

Thanks Richard, I'm confused here: what do you mean by "the start pose must stay the same". Are you saying that AFTER I do the initial draping (as in the first example I posted above), then I should slide the animation mark back to the left, apply a different pose to the figure, and then start the animation draping again? If what I just said is not what you meant, then please give me a few steps to follow. Thanks.

No, I meant the pose in frame 0 (on the left) must stay the same. If you are adjusting the final pose then the drape will need to be recalculated if it's enough of a change to have parts of the figure poking through the cloth - in fact I'm surprised changing the pose didn't simply clear the drape, but I suppose that happens only when the clothing is fitted to the figure.

Richard ,above, explained the problem of fitting dynamic clothes better than me.
It is a pain to fit dynamic clothes on a Daz figure/character.
Here are a couple of Dynamic cloth draping for Daz Studio:

    and:

Hope this helps, just be patient and in time you'll get the hang of fitting dynamic clothes on Daz figures.
