Can I download only the Genesis 3 Essentials and integrate it with Daz Studio 4.6?

I was wondering if I can only download the Genesis 3 essentials and integrate it with Daz Studio 4.6? Will that wipe out all the 4.6 genesis 1 &2 essentials,or it can work side-by-side with 4.6,with out affecting,or completely replacing , 4.6 Genesis essentials?

I still like to work with Genesis 1&2 essentials, and since these two versions co-exist,I am hoping genesis 3 can also co-exist/work seamlessly with these older versions of the essentials?
Can I skip the core installation of Daz Studio 4.8,in order to use Genesis 3 essentials?.

Just wondering.

    Well on that issue we can give you a firm "maybe"

    Though there were at least a few changes to accomodate it in 4.8, so there'd be some issues for sure

    The Genesis 3 starter essentials will co-exist with Genesis and Genesis 2 - but some of the Genesis 3 features are only going to work in Studio 4.8.

    Thanks for your tips guys,I guess I will wait for more inputs before deciding to download the Genesis 3 essentials and giving it a trial run. I am still wondering if it might mess up my default Daz Studio 4.6 start up settings.

    I'm pretty sure Genesis 3 won't work in 4.6

    I've just tried it. Yes she does work. She poses Ok using preset poses, but the Powerpose won't work properly.

    Powerpose won't work properly until an updated template is made for it...doesn't matter Studio version.

    G3F Starter Essentials will not affect the G1 and G2 versions, they can all be used. G3 will work for the most part in DS4.6, but some of the features won't, like some of the posing dials.

    Thanks to all of you for your answers, I just gave it a try,and was pleasantly surprised that G3 essentials works almost perfectly,except for the few features that don't work,as mentioned in your comments.
